The old warehouse Apotekergata No. 5 has today become a restaurant, a coffee shop and a bar – and for the sunny days; a barge where you can enjoy the view and local food.
Le Sund
In the middle of the historic center of Ålesund lies Le Sund. Here, sea, people and good ingredients have always met – and they will continue to do so. We will create a bistro with a pleasant atmosphere, low threshold and respect for both ingredients and people. A place to take a break, slow down and enjoy the taste of what is made properly.
Zuuma
Zuuma is a modern Japanese-inspired grill and sushi restaurant, with a fantastic sea view on the quay in Ålesund. Zuuma emphasize local and Nordic ingredients such as rockfish, whale, salmon and scallops. With unique knowledge and a desire to create something new, Zuuma gives you a memorable meal.
Vino Bar
Vino Bar's wine menu contains over 1,000 wines from most wine regions in the world. Regular wine courses and tastings are arranged. Polarbear (Polarbjørn)
Polarbjørn is an exhilarating à la carte restaurant located on the hotel's 9th floor, with fantastic views of Ålesund city centre, the sea and surrounding islands. The menu offers a varied selection of exquisite dishes from the sea and land.
XL Diner
The restaurant opened in 1999 and has since worked to promote the excellent raw material of clipfish. This has led to XL Diner becoming one of the most famous bacalao restaurants in the world.
BRYT
Spanish and Sunnmørsk temperament — a perfect match. In the spring, during Spansketida in Ålesund, the town was flooded with Spanish sailors on shore leave. Dancing in the streets, wine and guitar playing was a common sight. The coastal people and the sailors met over good food, wine, song and dance. Now we will gather in the same way. Low shoulders and hungry bellies. Maybe it will be a quick glass of wine and a good chat or maybe it will be an evening for the history books.

Another Aalesund surprise: Nestled in the heart of a town, known for the best Seafood in the world, you find a hidden gem. Cinque Minuti and its Italian owners serves informal authentic Italian cuisine of exceptional quality.
MOLO Brew
On the dock of Aalesund there is a fab microbrewery, with 25 draft lines, where you can choose between classics or a wide range of more experimental beers. All beers are produced at the location, designed and developed by the onsite brewers. The kitchen serves grilled burgers, sandwiches and snacks. We also have shuffleboard, fuss ball game, darts and other games.
Madelynn Coffee Fosnavåg
Madelynn is a coffee shop with much more than cappuccino and chai latte. It's the American sandwich and hamburger menu, all with high x-factor.
Willy's Ulsteinvik
Willy's offers a great selection of tasty dine in or take out options, such pizza, sushi, kebab and baked goods.
Maluns Ulsteinvik
Nice atmosphere in an old boat house by the harbour. Food and service are great. Small restaurant, and possibility to sit outside when the weather is nice.
