OPERATING THE BOAT:

STARTING THE BOAT

1. Turn on power
2. Open the air-intake screw on top of the fuel cap
3. Lower the engine all the way down - so it is fully submerged in the water - by using the button placed on the side of the gear leave.
4. Ensure the gear lever is set at “Neutral” - place the key in the ignition and start the boat.

STOPPING THE BOAT 

1. Stop the engine
2. Raise the engine fully out of the water
3. Turn the power switch to the “OFF” position
4. Close the air-intake screw on top of the fuel cap

FUELING THE BOAT:

The fuel tank is placed below the seat at the back of the boat. For re-fueling there is a smaller movable Fuel-Can which is also placed in the same compartment of the boat. This can be used to refill the tank from the pump, next to the harbor. The fuel to be used is Unleaded 98 Petrol or Unleaded 95 Petrol.

Please note: Users of the boat are expected to leave the boat with a full tank of fuel. 

All use of Boat is at the guest's own risk and responsibility: 

• Statement of liability must be signed before guests can take the boat into use. 
• We have limited use of the boat to the Gurskenfjord, as the waters outside of the fjord has some visible reefs and some reefs that are just below the surface. The weather can change quickly and make it very difficult to navigate for inexperienced pilots.
• Fuel for the boat is provided by the guests, from the gasoline pump at the marina where the boat is located.
• The boat has a new engine, but should any problems arise with the engine, we will do what we can to fix the problem or get an alternative boat - If this is not possible, we can refund 200 NOK per night.
• Boating license: In Norway, persons born in or after 1980 need a boating license in order to operate a recreational craft with an engine with a greater effect than 25 HP (which is the case for the boat available with the apartment) A license issued in another EEA state is valid, if they meet the requirements of the Norwegian boating license .
